Anamor
The Anamor are apex hunters. Their bodies are living records of the most powerful creatures they have consumed, and they have built a culture around the hunt.
Native to the Remnant Continent, the Anamor were here long before the Shattering migration brought the Elkyr, Janim, and Nyl to these shores. They did not build empires. They did not need to.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”No two Anamor look quite the same, and that is the point. Their bodies naturally express characteristics drawn from every powerful creature whose blood they carry: feathers, scales, claws, altered musculature, shifted bone structure, enhanced senses. An Anamor who has hunted apex beasts across years of their life carries the evidence of those hunts openly.
In their baseline state, most Anamor appear broadly humanoid with subtle animal traits. The more they have hunted and consumed, the more those traits emerge.
The Law of Conversion
Section titled “The Law of Conversion”The Anamor lineage polarity is Conversion, which in their anatomy grants them the capacity to absorb and transform the body through consumed blood.
When an Anamor consumes the blood of a powerful creature, their Ren processes that bloodline, integrating it into their physical form. The stronger the creature, the more potent the resulting trait. This transformation is real, permanent, and progressive, not a metaphor for adaptation, but an actual rewriting of the body.
Anamor Rennim extend this principle further, driving rapid and deliberate transformation in the heat of a moment.
She channeled the principle of conversion throughout her body. Ren flooded her legs first, as mass: muscle swelled and layered, cords thickening until her femurs felt the strain. Tendons tightened, rewriting themselves for launch instead of balance. Scales crept outward from her hips and thighs, dull plates forming, locking her lower body into something built to strike ground hard and keep moving.
She pushed off. The earth exploded behind her.

Culture & Society
Section titled “Culture & Society”Anamor live in small nomadic groups: extended family units built around the needs of the hunt. The apex beasts that drive their transformation require significant effort and danger to bring down, which shapes everything about how Anamor communities organize themselves. They value tribe and family above nearly everything else.
Outsiders are not unwelcome, but they are judged on what they can do and what they can withstand.
There is one major exception to the nomadic pattern: the United Anamor Nation, a federation of clans centered in and around the Gankora region. The Pinthal city-state serves as its largest hub. The United Anamor Nation is the closest thing to a formal Anamor political body on the continent, and it affords the Haqol, who live in hiding in deep Anamor territory, a rare form of protection.
Anamor clans are defined by the creatures they hunt and the traits they carry.

The Dreamweaver clan occupies a particular place in Anamor oral tradition, discussed as real but never confirmed by outsiders. Whether they exist, and what they have become through their hunts, is unknown.
There are countless anamor clans, but the above are the most prominent ones.
Relations with Other Peoples
Section titled “Relations with Other Peoples”The Anamor were among the peoples displaced when the Elkyr, Janim, and Nyl arrived during the Shattering. Their tribal structure could not compete with the organized nation-states the newcomers brought with them. Resentment exists, but it has never unified into a single movement.
The Anamor are the only lineage the Haqol fully trust. The relationship is protective and mutual: Anamor communities shelter Haqol in their deep territory, and the Haqol provide capabilities that benefit both peoples. Within Anamor culture, Thylini face no special prejudice.
