A Brief Introduction to Ithasen

The Remnant Continent

Ithasen is called the Remnant Continent, as after the last period of calamity, the Elkyr, Janim, and Nyl migrated from other continents here. The Anamor native to these lands had no choice but to cede to these new races, as they brought powerful civilizations far more organized with them. Since the establishment of the five nations, the spirits have been quiet, but in recent history, tensions run high.

Even compared to the period of calamity, the Remnant Continent seems now to be a little darker than ever, if not for the promise of recent archeological finds.

An Age of Change

The remains of a powerful, ancient civilization named the Marathat have been uncovered in bits and pockets, and their legacy of knowledge hints at power and technology far past that which any of the races of the Remnant Continent have today. The five nations are in a time of near unprecedented change, at the verge of a technological and socio-cultural revolution. The land and the people have been conditioned towards each other during peaceful times, but now there has been a period of stillness, or rather, teetering.

The spirits move again, something large is afoot, and the question is if the peoples of this land will survive long enough to undergo these revolutions, and come out on top against the dangers creeping in.

The Rennim

You play as those connected to spirits, granted immense power and a role in events that can impact the continent: Ascendants, or Rennim as they are called, those who have awakened to the power of Ren.

Their choices through whatever plots are brought into the light will shape the course of the next era. Ruins of past civilizations lay dormant to the schemes of ambitious kings, and vistas of immense proportions set the stage as echoes of the times of calamity, when spirits had walked and trampled the earth, as they may soon again.
