Stride
Stride is how far a character can move in a single turn, measured in Range Bands.
Base Stride
Section titled “Base Stride”Formula: 2 + XP invested in Stride
At no XP investment, your starting Stride is 2. This means you can move up to 2 Range Bands as your movement during a turn.
Using Stride in Combat
Section titled “Using Stride in Combat”On your turn, you can move up to your Stride in Range Bands and take 1 Resolution (your action). Movement and resolution can be taken in any order.
You can also spend your resolution to gain +1 additional Range Band of movement that turn instead of taking an action.
Range Bands
Section titled “Range Bands”Movement is tracked in Range Bands rather than precise distances. Each band represents a distance range:
| Band | Name | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Immediate | 0-1m |
| 2 | Melee | 1-2m |
| 3 | Close | 2-5m |
| 4 | Nearby | 5-10m |
| 5 | Around | 10-30m |
| 6 | Far | 30-100m |
| 7 | Distant | 100-1,000m |
| 8 | Extreme | 1,000m+ |
