Yrialin
The Church of Ylelaim. The dominant organized religion on the Remnant Continent, with reach across all five nations. The church is dedicated to suppressing spirit descent and identifying and removing corruption wherever it takes hold.
Yrialin - The Open Church
The Yrialin are the public arm of the faith. Places of Worship, somewhat loose in ritual, but firm in their scriptures and morally direct. They provide spiritual guidance, moral structure, and visible opposition to corruption. Where chaos spreads quietly, the Yrialin respond loudly: through sermons, sanctuary, charity, and formal condemnation. Their doctrine emphasizes personal faith, accountability, and the possibility of redemption through honest acknowledgment of wrongdoing.
They believe faith should be seen and lived openly. Order matters. Process matters. Redemption is possible, but it must be acknowledged and pursued honestly. They’re:
- Scripture and doctrine over ceremony
- Redemption is possible but not automatic, rather a life long pursuit of faith
- They will shelter the innocent and the repentant, or those in need
- Uncomfortable with moral ambiguity, but not naïve
- Politically present but cautious
- They shape culture more than battlefields
